ATP Auckland: Shapovalov goes down to Ofner in first match since Wimbledon
The Austrian will play Roberto Carballes Baena in the next round in Auckland

Playing his first match since Wimbledon due to a knee injury, Canada’s Denis Shapovalov was defeated in the first round of the ATP Auckland Open on Tuesday by seventh seed Sebastian Ofner.
Shapovalov appeared to be rusty, hitting 49 percent of his first serves in, 11 double faults and zero aces as he went down 6-4, 6-2 to the Austrian, who is ranked a career-high No 37 in the world currently.
Ofner’s reward is a second-round clash against Roberto Carballes Baena for a spot in the last eight.
