ATP Adelaide: Korda through to final to face Auger-Aliassime
Sebastian Korda beat Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 7-6 (4) on Friday and will play Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 5 seed, in the final
American Sebastian Korda, the second seed, won against Serb Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 7-6 (4) to advance to the final of the Adelaide Open at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Friday.
Korda, ranked No 22, will face Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 5 seed, next. The Canadian has a 2-1 lead over the American, who will be playing the ninth ATP final of his career.
Korda beat Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-3, 6-3) and Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis (walkover) ahead of his today’s win.
In the previous rounds of the tournament, Kecmanovic, ranked No 55, won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-2), Australian Christopher O’Connell (7-6 (1), 6-2) and French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi (6-2, 6-3).
