Atlanta Open: Rinderknech books spot in semi-finals

Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech moved into the semi-finals of the Atlanta Open by winning against Italian qualifier Mattia Bellucci 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-1 at the Atlanta Athletic Club on Saturday night.
Rinderknech, ranked No 64, will face Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka next.
Ahead of his victory, the Frenchman beat American lucky loser J.J. Wolf (6-3, 6-2) and Australian lucky loser Adam Walton (7-6 (4), 6-3).
Bellucci, ranked No 146, benefited from the abandonment of Australian Aleksandar Vukic (1-6, 6-4, 3-1) and won against Frenchman Adrian Mannarino, the second seed (7-6 (6), 4-6, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
