Atlanta Open: Mannarino replaces Kyrgios with a win over Gojowczyk
Adrian Mannarino beat Peter Gojowczyk 6-3, 7-6 (7) on Wednesday night. He’ll face American wildcard Andres Martin in the next round
French lucky loser Adrian Mannarino defeated German qualifier Peter Gojowczyk 6-3, 7-6 (7) to advance to the second round of the Atlanta Open at the Atlantic Stadion on Wednesday night.
Adrian Mannarino replaced Nick Kyrgios because of a pain at the left knee. “I’m shattered that I’m not able to compete tonight…all I wanted to do was come out here and give you guys a show. I hope you guys won’t be too hard on me. I want to still play doubles tomorrow night and comeback next year for singles.”
