The 27-year-old will play fellow American Brandon Nakashima in the next round
Fifth seed Chris Eubanks continued his winning ways with a first round win at the Atlanta Open on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old American won his first career title in Mallorca in June and then followed it up with a dream run to his first Grand Slam quarter-final at Wimbledon.
On Tuesday, the Eubanks express rolled on in his home event, the Atlanta Open, as the American beat wildcard Andres Martin 6-2, 6-4 on Tuesday. The American has now won 10 of his last 11 matches on the tour.
