Second seed Alex De Minaur won against Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Open on Wednesday night.
De Minaur, ranked No 17, will play Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 7 seed, next. Kokkinakis, ranked No 86, edged out another French, wildcard Gael Monfils (1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5)), in the previous round.
