Astana Open: Griekspoor beats Shimabukuro to make the quarter-finals
Griekspoor defeated Sho Shimabukuro 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-1 and will play the winner of the match between Nuno Borges and Sebastian Korda in the next round

Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the top seed, won against Japanese qualifier Sho Shimabukuro 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-1 to move into the last eight of the Astana Open at the Daulet National Tennis Center.
Griekspoor, ranked No 24, will face the winner of the match between Portuguese Nuno Borges and American Sebastian Korda, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Nur-Sultan tournament, Shimabukuro, ranked No 148, defeated Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6-2, 6-4).
