Astana Open: Mannarino beats Goffin to reach quarter-finals
Adrian Mannarino edged out David Goffin 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 on Wednesday and will play Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 5 seed, in the next round

Frenchman Adrian Mannarino edged out Belgian lucky loser David Goffin 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals of the Astana Open at the Daulet National Tennis Center in Nur-Sultan on Wednesday.
Goffin had taken out the No 1 seed, Carlos Alcaraz, in the previous round.
Mannarino, ranked No 51, will play Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Nur-Sultan, the 34-year-old Frenchman beat Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka (1-6, 6-2, 6-3).
