Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild beat Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the last eight of the Argentina Open at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday.

Seyboth Wild, ranked No 77, will play Serb qualifier Laslo Djere next.

The Brazilian won against Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta (3-6, 6-2, 6-3) ahead of his victory.

In the previous round of the Buenos Aires Open, Baez, ranked No 31, won against wildcard Camilo Ugo Carabelli (6-4, 6-4).
