Argentina Open: Djere knocks out Seyboth Wild to book spot in last four

Serb qualifier Laslo Djere won against Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-6 (3), 6-3 to move into the semi-finals of the Argentina Open at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club.

Djere, ranked No 112, will face the winner of the match between Brazilian Joao Fonseca and Argentinian Mariano Navone next.

Earlier in the tournament, the Serb beat Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-3, 6-3) and edged out Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 4 seed (2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (2)).

Seyboth Wild, ranked No 77, won against Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta (3-6, 6-2, 6-3) and Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 6 seed (6-3, 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Buenos Aires Open.
