Argentina Open: Cerundolo makes quarter-finals

Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 5 seed, won against Spaniard Jaume Munar 6-2, 6-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Argentina Open at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday evening.

Cerundolo, ranked No 30, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 4 seed, and Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles next.

The Argentinian edged out German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann (6-2, 4-6, 7-5) in the previous round of the Buenos Aires Open.

In the first round of the Buenos Aires Open, Munar, ranked No 67, beat Argentinian wildcard Guido Pella (6-4, 7-5).
