Alert: Tsitsipas beats Sinner to reach final of Monte-Carlo Masters
Stefanos Tsitsipas edged out Jannik Sinner 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 and will face the winner of the match between Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud for the title
Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 12 seed, advanced to the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters by edging out Italian Jannik Sinner, the second seed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 at Monte-Carlo Country Club.
Tsitsipas, ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Serb Novak Djokovic, the top seed, and Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Greek defeated Serb Laslo Djere (6-3, 3-2 ret.), Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry (6-1, 6-0), German Alexander Zverev, the No 5 seed (7-5, 7-6 (3)) and Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 15 seed (6-4, 6-2).
Sinner, ranked No 2, won against American Sebastian Korda (6-1, 6-2), German Jan-Lennard Struff (6-4, 6-2) and Dane Holger Rune, the No 7 seed (6-4, 6-7 (6), 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Monte-Carlo tournament.
