Alert – Barcelona Open: Ruud wins the trophy

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 3 seed, won the Barcelona Open trophy by beating Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 5 seed, 7-5, 6-3 at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Sunday.
Ruud, ranked No 6, defeated Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-3, 6-4), Australian Jordan Thompson, the No 14 seed (6-1, 6-4), Italian Matteo Arnaldi (6-4, 6-3) and Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 13 seed (7-6 (6), 6-4) in the previous rounds of the Barcelona tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Tsitsipas, ranked No 7, beat Austrian Sebastian Ofner (6-4, 7-5), Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (7-5, 6-3), Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta (4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (8)) and Serb Dusan Lajovic (5-7, 6-4, 6-2).
