Alcaraz confirms end-of-season schedule, to play Astana, Basel and Paris before Turin
Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed that he will also play Davis Cup after the season-ending ATP Finals

World No 1 Carlos Alcaraz has confirmed his schedule for the rest of the 2022 season during an Instagram Live session on Wednesday with his sponsors Babolat.
Alcaraz will play in the Astana Open, an ATP 250 event, next week, followed by the Swiss Indoors in Basel (ATP 500), the Paris Masters (ATP 1000 Series), the season-ending ATP Finals and then the Davis Cup.
“I’m leaving on Friday for Astana, where I will play the tournament next week. Then I will play in Basel, Paris, Turin for the Masters and finally the Davis Cup at the end of the year,” Alcaraz said during the show where he was joined by Eric Babalot, the CEO of his racket brand, Eric Babolat, and Jean-Christophe Verborg, head of player relations for Babolat.
Since winning his first Grand Slam singles title at the US Open in New York earlier this month and becoming the youngest male player to reach the world No 1 spot, Alcaraz played in the Davis Cup World Group qualifiers for Spain, going 1-1.
The 19-year-old has already qualified for the season-ending ATP Finals in Turin, along with compatriot Rafael Nadal, who won the Australian Open and Roland-Garros titles earlier in the year.
