After three-year stint with Ferreira, Tiafoe hires Moyano as new coach
Moyano, a former player from Argentina, has worked with Coco Gauff and Kevin Anderson in the past
American Frances Tiafoe has split with coach Wayne Ferreira and hired Diego Moyano to his team for the 2024 season.
Tiafoe and Ferreira worked for three seasons together and the American had very kind words to say about the former top 10 player from South Africa when he made the announcement on social media.
“Just wanted to say thanks to this guy. Three years shared together.. SHEESH we had a ton of success. But sadly we’ve decided to part ways. Thanks for getting me to the player I am today. Nothing but love and respect for you. My guy Wayne Ferreira.”
Tiafoe has already begun working with Moyano, saying “Man you working the hell out of me but I can’t wait for it to all pay off. Let’s get busy next year” in another post on social media.
Moyano is a former player from Argentina himself and was earlier working with Coco Gauff till April 2023. He has also worked with Kevin Anderson and prior to that was a coach hired by the USTA to work with American players, including Tiafoe.
In other Tiafoe news, the American has pulled out of the upcoming World Tennis League exhibition event nad has been replaced by India’s Sumit Nagal in the event.
