ATP Adelaide: Shevchenko upsets Etcheverry to move into second round
The Russian will face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Christopher O’Connell and French qualifier Arthur Rinderknech in the next round

Russian Alexander Shevchenko edged out Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 6 seed, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5 to reach the second round of the Adelaide Open at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Monday.
Shevchenko, ranked No 48 in the world, will play the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Christopher O’Connell and French qualifier Arthur Rinderknech next.
