Adelaide Open: Korda into semi-finals

American Sebastian Korda, the second seed, advanced to the semi-finals of the Adelaide Open after Australian wildcard Thanasi Kokkinakis withdrew before the match at the Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Thursday.

Korda, ranked No 22, will face Serb Miomir Kecmanovic next.

Ahead of his victory, the American won against Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-3, 6-3).

Kokkinakis, ranked No 77, defeated Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) and edged out Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 8 seed (7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (4)) earlier in the tournament.
