Lucky loser SoonWoo Kwon moved into the semi-finals of the Adelaide International 2 by beating Swede qualifier Mikael Ymer 6-1, 6-2 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Thursday.
Kwon, ranked No 84, will face Jack Draper next.
Ahead of his victory, SoonWoo Kwon won against Czech qualifier Tomas Machac (6-4, 6-4) and edged out Spaniard Pablo Carreno Busta, the second seed (3-6, 6-4, 6-4).
Ymer, ranked No 77, won against Finn Emil Ruusuvuori (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) and American Mackenzie McDonald (3-6, 7-6 (2), 6-3).
