Australian wildcard Jason Kubler beat Argentinian qualifier Tomas Martin Etcheverry 7-6 (2), 7-5 to move into the second round of the Adelaide International 2 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Tuesday night.
Kubler, ranked No 86, will play Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 6 seed, next.
