Wild card Kokkinakis makes Adelaide quarter-finals at expense of top seed Rublev

Australian wild card Thanasi Kokkinakis won against Russian Andrey Rublev, the top seed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the Adelaide International 2 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Kokkinakis, ranked No 110, will face Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Adelaide 2 tournament, the Australian edged out wildcard Alexei Popyrin (6-0, 6-7 (5), 7-5).
