Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 6 seed, advanced to the second round of the Adelaide International 2 by beating Kyle Edmund 6-4, 7-5 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Monday.
Kecmanovic, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Jason Kubler and Argentinian qualifier Tomas Martin Etcheverry next.
