Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler advanced to the second round of the Adelaide International 2 by edging out Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
Huesler, ranked No 55, will face No 3 seed Karen Khachanov next.
