Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 8 seed, won against Italian Flavio Cobolli 6-3, 6-2 to advance to the last 16 of the ABN Amro Open on Monday.
Hurkacz, ranked No 21, will face the winner of the match between Jiri Lehecka and Australian Alexei Popyrin next.
