Indian Wells in March, no Auckland: what’s known so far about the 2022 ATP schedule

The warm-up tournaments for the 2022 Australian Open are almost nailed down now – but what about the rest of the year’s calendar?

The ATP have confirmed they will have back-to-back ATP 250 tournaments in Adelaide ahead of the year’s first Grand Slam, plus two other ATP 250 events elsewhere in Australia. The WTA have not yet confirmed their own schedule but it seems as if their warm-up events will run in parallel with the men’s equivalents.

Tennis Majors

Much of the internal ATP calendar that has been circulating since May has now been confirmed formally, with Indian Wells returning to its traditional March spot, and Auckland absent from its usual January window due to Covid-19 restrictions.

That all means the first half of the season will look like this:
