Shanghai Masters: Paul overcomes Tabilo to make last 16
Tommy Paul won against Alejandro Tabilo 6-7 (2), 7-6 (6), 6-2 on Sunday and will play the winner of the match between No 30 seed Tomas Machac and Australian qualifier Aleksandar Vukic in the next round

American Tommy Paul, the No 11 seed, won against Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 19 seed, 6-7 (2), 7-6 (6), 6-2 to advance to the last 16 of the Shanghai Masters at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center on Sunday.
Paul, ranked No 13, will play the winner of the match between No 30 seed Tomas Machac and Australian qualifier Aleksandar Vukic next.
The American defeated Italian Fabio Fognini (6-1, 6-3) in the previous round of the Shanghai tournament.
In the second round of the Shanghai tournament, Tabilo, ranked No 23, won against Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-3, 6-2).
