WTA Brisbane: Kasatkina beats Linette to reach quarter-finals
The Russian will face the winner of the match between Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, and Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 15 seed, in the next round

Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No 5 seed, reached the last eight of the Brisbane International by defeating Pole Magda Linette, the No 9 seed, 6-4, 6-2 on Thursday.
Kasatkina, ranked No 18, will play the winner of the match between Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the top seed, and Chinese Lin Zhu, the No 15 seed, next.
The Russian won against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk (6-3, 6-4) earlier in the week while Linette, ranked No 22, won against Spaniard Cristina Bucsa (6-3, 7-5).
