Canadian wildcard Bianca Andreescu won against Japanese qualifier Mei Yamaguchi 7-5, 6-3 to move into the second round of the Tokyo Open at the Ariake Coliseum on Monday.
Andreescu, ranked No 159, will play second seed Beatriz Haddad Maia next.
