‘s-Hertogenbosch Open: Samsonova beats Naef to move into quarter-finals

Russian Liudmila Samsonova, the second seed, reached the last eight of the’s-Hertogenbosch Open by beating Swiss wildcard Celine Naef 7-5, 6-2 at Autotron Rosmalen.

Samsonova, ranked No 15, will face Belgian Greet Minnen next.

The Russian won against Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck (6-1, 6-3) ahead of her victory.

In the previous round of the Rosmalen tournament, Naef, ranked No 161, edged out American qualifier Elizabeth Mandlik (7-6 (4), 1-6, 6-4).
