Georgian Mariam Bolkvadze advanced to the quarter-finals of the Polish Open by defeating Pole wildcard Gina Feistel 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 on Wednesday.
Bolkvadze, ranked No 252, will play Australian Maya Joint, the No 5 seed, next.
The Georgian won against Slovak Rebecca Sramkova, the top seed (6-1, 6-2) in the previous round.
In the 32, Feistel, ranked No 328, edged out Cypriot Raluka Serban (6-2, 5-7, 6-4).
