Russian Kamilla Rakhimova defeated Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 6 seed, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 to advance to the last 16 of the Ningbo Open on Tuesday night.
Rakhimova, ranked No 77, will face the winner of the match between Russian Diana Shnaider and Chinese qualifier Zhuoxuan Bai next.
