Alina Korneeva edged out Shrivalli Bhamidipaty 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 on Wednesday afternoon. She’ll play Australian Storm Hunter in the next round

Russian Alina Korneeva edged out Indian qualifier Shrivalli Bhamidipaty 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the last 8 of the Mumbai Open at the Cricket Club of India.
Korneeva, ranked No 134, will play Australian Storm Hunter next.
Ahead of her victory, the 16-year-old Russian won against Frenchwoman Chloe Paquet (6-1, 6-3).
Shrivalli Bhamidipaty edged out Japanese Nao Hibino, the second seed (2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round of the Mumbai tournament.
