Korea Open: Von Deichmann books spot in second round
Kathinka von Deichmann benefited from the abandonment of Irina Khromacheva (5-7, 6-4, 3-0) on Monday night. She’ll face the winner of the match between Russian Polina Kudermetova and American Alycia Parks, the No 6 seed, in the next round

Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann moved into the second round of the Korea Open when Russian lucky loser Irina Khromacheva retired in Seoul on Monday.
Von Deichmann, ranked No 343, led 5-7, 6-4, 3-0 when Khromacheva, ranked No 401, pulled out.
The Liechtensteiner will face the winner of the match between Russian Polina Kudermetova and American Alycia Parks, the No 6 seed, next.
