Russian Veronika Kudermetova moved into the second round of the Korea Open by beating Chinese Shuai Zhang 6-4, 6-3 at the Olympic Park Tennis Center in Seoul on Monday.
Kudermetova, ranked No 42, will play second seed Liudmila Samsonova next.
