Jasmin Open: Tsurenko downs Liu to make last eight
Lesia Tsurenko beat Claire Liu 6-1, 7-5 on Thursday evening and will play Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz in the next round

Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko, the No 4 seed, won against American Claire Liu 6-1, 7-5 to move into the quarter-finals of the Jasmin Open at the Skanes Family Hotel Monastir on Thursday evening.
Tsurenko, ranked No 34, will play Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz next.
The 34-year-old Ukrainian beat French qualifier Chloe Paquet (6-2, 6-3) in the previous round of the Monastir tournament.
During the first round of the Monastir tournament, Liu, ranked No 92, defeated Emina Bektas (6-2, 7-6 (5)).
