Canadian Rebecca Marino reached the last 16 of the Guadalajara 125 Open by defeating Mexican Renata Zarazua, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-2 on Tuesday evening.

Marino, ranked No 139, will play Australian Astra Sharma next.
