Grand Est Open: Galfi makes final

Dalma Galfi won against Anna Bondar 6-3, 6-1 on Saturday evening and will play Italian Sara Errani for the title

No 6 seed Dalma Galfi moved into the final of the Grand Est Open by beating top seed Anna Bondar 6-3, 6-1 at Tennis Club de Contrexéville on Saturday evening.

Galfi, ranked No 89, will face Italian Sara Errani next.

Dalma Galfi won against Frenchwoman Kristina Mladenovic (6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-3), Romanian Alexandra Ignatik (6-4, 6-4) and Italian Jasmine Paolini, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-0) earlier in the tournament.

In the previous rounds, Bondar, ranked No 64, won against Brazilian Laura Pigossi (6-4, 6-2), German qualifier Lena Papadakis (6-2, 6-2) and Australian Olivia Gadecki (4-6, 6-3, 6-2).
