Crèdit Andorrà Open: Bucsa advances to semi-finals

Spaniard Cristina Bucsa, the No 8 seed, edged out Belgian Alison Van Uytvanck, the second seed, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the last four of the Crèdit Andorrà Open on Friday evening.
Bucsa, ranked No 108, will face the winner of the match between German wildcard Sabine Lisicki and American Alycia Parks next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Spaniard defeated Israeli Lina Glushko (6-1, 7-6 (1)) and Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl (6-3, 6-3).
Van Uytvanck, ranked No 55, won against Yanina Wickmayer (6-4, 6-4) and American Katrina Scott (7-5, 6-2) in the previous rounds.
