China Open: Ostapenko into last 16 after walkover
Jelena Ostapenko benefited from the forfeit of Linda Noskova on Monday night. She’ll face the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula, the No 4 seed, and Russian Anna Blinkova in the next round

Latvian Jelena Ostapenko, the No 13 seed, moved into the last 16 of the China Open after Linda Noskova withdrew before their second-round match.
Ostapenko, ranked No 17, will face the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula, the No 4 seed, and Russian Anna Blinkova next.
Ahead of her victory, the Latvian won against German qualifier Eva Lys (2-6, 6-3, 6-2).
Noskova, ranked No 42, defeated Chinese wildcard Fangran Tian (6-4, 6-2) in the previous round.
