China Open: Minnen defeats Potapova in second round
The Belgian will play Chinese wildcard Shuai Zhang in the next round

Belgian Greet Minnen edged out Russian Anastasia Potapova, the No 28 seed, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4 to reach the third round of the China Open at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on Friday.
Minnen, ranked No 94, will next face Chinese wildcard Shuai Zhang, who bettered seed No 6 Emma Navarro in the second round.
The Belgian beat Russian Erika Andreeva (7-5, 6-2) in the previous round of the Beijing tournament.
