Belgian Greet Minnen moved into the second round of the Charleston Open 125 by beating German Tamara Korpatsch, the No 8 seed, 6-2, 6-4 at the Family Circle Tennis Center.
Minnen, ranked No 81, will face Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich next.
