American qualifier Lauren Davis advanced to the last 16 of the Cancun Tennis Open by winning against Dutch qualifier Eva Vedder 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 on Monday.
Davis, ranked No 254, will play the winner of the match between Japanese Ena Shibahara, the No 6 seed, and Canadian qualifier Carson Branstine next.
