Cali Open: Todoni extends winning streak to seven and reached quarter-finals

Romanian Anca Todoni, the No 8 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Cali Open by winning against Argentinian Solana Sierra 6-4, 7-6 (5) on Wednesday.
This was the seventh win in a row for the Romanian player, who won the WTA $125K in Bolivia last week.
Todoni, ranked No 117, will play Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu, the second seed, next.
In the previous round, the 20-year-old Romanian beat Slovak qualifier Martina Okalova (6-0, 6-0).
Sierra, ranked No 156, won against Ukrainian Valeriya Strakhova (6-1, 4-6, 6-3) in the first round.
