Swiss Simona Waltert won against Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the last 8 of the Antalya Open at the Megasaray Tennis Academy on Thursday.
Waltert, ranked No 181, will face Serb Olga Danilovic, the No 7 seed, next.
The Swiss beat Hungarian Dalma Galfi (6-4, 6-3) ahead of her victory.
In the previous round of the Antalya tournament, Jacquemot, ranked No 157, defeated Chloe Paquet (1-6, 6-3, 6-1).
