Wimbledon: Niemeier through to third round

German Jule Niemeier won against Estonian Anett Kontaveit, the second seed, 6-4, 6-0 to advance to the third round of Wimbledon at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Wednesday.
Niemeier, ranked No 97, will face Lesia Tsurenko next.
In the previous round, the 22-year-old German defeated Chinese Xiyu Wang (6-1, 6-4).
Kontaveit, ranked No 3, beat American Bernarda Pera (7-5, 6-1) during the first round.
