He reached his first Tour final in Sydney in 2017 and also finished runner-up in Delray Beach in 2019, where he beat Frances Tiafoe and John Isner before losing to Radu Albot in a final-set tiebreak. He also won the Battle of the Brits during lockdown, beating Andy Murray on the way to the title.
