Since November 2024, Shapovalov started working with former top 10 player Janko Tipsarevic, of Serbia.

Previously, Shapovalov has worked with Jamie Delgado, who was formerly Andy Murray’s coach, in 2022. The partnership ended after the 2022 Italian Open in Rome. After that, he had been working with Peter Polansky, a former Canadian player.
