- What happened: World No. 1 Novak Djokovic scored a 6-2, 6-2 win over Bolivia’s Hugo Dellien in the first round of the men’s singles event at the Tokyo Olympics on Saturday
- Why it matters: Djokovic remains on course to become the first man and only the second player (after Steffi Graf) to win the Golden Slam (all four Grand Slams and the Olympic gold medal in the same year)
- Key stat: Djokovic did not face a single break point on his serve, winning 83% of first-serve points, as well as 100% of second-serve points won. He also hit seven aces and zero double faults in the match.
