UTS: last but not least, Dominic Thiem!
One and nine make ten. The identity of the last player to join Ultimate Tennis Showdown is world No 3 Dominic Thiem.
This man never stops playing. He has already played an exhibition in Austria, and committed to play at Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour, at an exhibition in Berlin (July 13-15), and at his own Thiem 7 tournament (an eight-man event to be played in Kitzbuhel from July 7-11). But that didn’t stop world No 3 Dominic Thiem from joining the field at Patrick Mouratoglou’s Ultimate Tennis Showdown.
World No 3 Dominic Thiem is the last player to join the event, starting on Saturday at the Mouratoglou Academy in Sofia-Antipolis in the South of France. Organizers announced it on their Twitter account on Wednesday night.

Field is set
Earlier today, UTS announced that Spaniard Feliciano Lopez would replace Felix Auger-Aliassime, who withdrew on Wednesday because of an injury to his right ankle.
The field is thus set for inaugural Ultimate Tennis Showdown at the Mouratoglou. Thiem will be the highest-ranked player of the competition. The Austrian is the fourth Top 10 player, adding to world No 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas, world No 9 Matteo Berrettini and world No 10 David Goffin.
He also joins Frenchmen Lucas Pouille, Benoît Paire and Richard Gasquet, Alexei Popyrin and Dustin Brown.
