Juan Martin Del Potro splits with coach Prieto
Former US Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro has parted ways with coach Sebastian Prieto as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.
The 31-year-old Argentinian, who underwent surgery on January 27, said on Twitter that he was splitting from Prieto to allow him to coach another Argentinian player.
I want to share that I have agreed with Sebastian Prieto to end our partnership, so that he can work with Juan Londero, while I continue my rehab process. I'm very thankful to Piper for all of these years together. He is a great a coach and even a better person. All the best!

Del Potro hired Prieto in August, 2017 and the partnership helped Del Potro get to a career-high ranking of No 3 a year later. His ranking has slipped to No 128 in recent times due to injury.
The Argentinian enjoyed the biggest moment of his career when he won the US Open in 2009, and won the silver medal at the 2016 Olympics.
