Australian Open: Kecmanovic advances to second round

Serb Miomir Kecmanovic edged out Japanese Yosuke Watanuki 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Australian Open at Melbourne Park on Monday.

Kecmanovic, ranked No 60, will face the winner of the match between Australian Rinky Hijikata and German Jan-Lennard Struff, the No 24 seed, next.
